Built in the 1920s and purchased by Friends Meeting of Washington in 1970, historic Quaker House was formerly an elegant townhome to diplomats. The home’s living room features a vaulted ceiling, French windows, and a working fireplace. Its doors open onto a new glass corridor on the north, seamlessly connecting this space to the east terrace and gardens (rented separately), the elevator, the Meeting House and the rest of the campus. Your rental includes access to a kitchenette and a small break-out space that can also be used for buffet service. Quaker House Living Room is perfect for workshops, meetings, or board retreats as well as for small weddings, memorial or religious services, birthdays, and baby showers. The space is optionally expanded by the 10-foot deep circulation space that opens onto the upper terrace and gardens.
